Description
Lavender is prized for it’s beauty and fragrance. ‘Sensational’ is know for it’s ability to withstand high heat and humidity as well as cold temperatures and is slightly more compact than ‘Phenomenal’. This variety thrives in our Tennessee garden and has overwintered temperatures of -16 F. Bees are particularly attracted to the purple flowers. We cut back the flowers stalks for drying and often get a second flush of blooms. Prefers well drained soil and can not tolerate wet soil in winter. Makes a beautiful cut and dried flower.
