Description
One of our most favorite flowers. This unique species of Bee balm has a beautiful yellow flower with purple spots that grow in clusters along the stems. The foliage has a minty fragrance and can be used in teas. Plants can spread to form nice clumps. Blooms summer through fall.
Monarda punctata is a key native host plant for several specialized moths including the Raspberry Pyrausta moth ans the Gray Marvel Moth. North American native plant.
