Description

Cabbage leaf coneflower is an impressive addition to any garden. The blooms tower at a height of 4-6ft. The strong stems stay upright throughout the season and the seedheads carry seeds through the fall and winter for many bird species. Prefers full sun and moist soil but will tolerate drought. Makes a beautiful cut flower.  North American Native

Rudbeckia maxima (Giant Coneflower) is a host plant for the Silvery Checkerspot and American Painted Lady butterfly, with its foliage supporting the caterpillars, while also attracting many other butterflies for nectar.
