Description

Butterfly milkweed is a memmber of the milkweed family. It forms a deep taproot and is very drought resistant. Needs well draining soil especially in the winter. Butterfly milkweed flowers in early summer with beautiful orange blooms.

Milkweeds are the host plant for the Monarch caterpillar.
